Astri Kirkland – Board Member

My name is Astri Kirkland, and I bring a wealth of leadership experience and a strong commitment to community service.

I hold a Master’s degree in Business Management, which underpins my success as the Director of Caring Hearts Pty Ltd and in managing several other business and investment ventures, both in Australia and internationally.

This business acumen has equipped me with strategic thinking, financial management, and effective organisational skills. Crucially, my professional life is complemented by deep, active engagement in multicultural communities across Tasmania.

I currently serve as the Vice President and Secretary of the Tasmania Northwest Islamic Association, as well as the President of the Indonesian Diaspora Tasmania. Furthermore, I am the founder of The Righteous Youth Group. These roles require continuous communication, advocacy, and the development of programs that support cultural identity and connection.

I am motivated to contribute meaningfully to the Multicultural Council, believing my blend of strategic business leadership and extensive firsthand experience in community organisation will enable me to add genuine, impactful value to the Council’s objectives
