Saturday Morning Djembe – Open Class

Express yourself through rhythm! These Saturday morning drumming classes are suitable for beginner players and others who want to kickstart the weekend with some cool djembe grooves. Drums are guaranteed for those who register online or by text/FB message (see below). If you have your own drum, just rock up!

If you’re an experienced player, there’s an Intermediate Class at 11.

Cost: $20

Your Teacher: Tara Tucker has studied this form of music with drumming ensembles and master drummers in several West African countries. She has taught djembe and dundun all over the world, including Australia, the US, Indonesia, Japan, India, China & Vietnam. Tara is one of only 2 Australian djembe teachers officially endorsed by the legendary djembe master Mamady Keïta (Guinea).
