Multicultural Community Organisation Grants

MCOT Multicultural Community Organisation COVID-19 Grants

The Multicultural Council of Tasmania (MCOT) is providing grants of up to $1,000 to multicultural community organisations to provide emergency relief to their communities during the COVID-19 crisis.

If your organisation is currently incurring costs to support community members suffering in the COVID-19 crisis, we can provide a grant to help you continue to provide this support.  Alternatively, we can provide a grant if this would help you start providing support to your community members suffering in the COVID-19 crisis.

  • Community members suffering in the COVID-19 crisis include temporary residents who do not have access to Jobkeeper or JobSeeker payments and who have experienced a reduction in their paid work.
  • Support to community members includes the provision of accommodation, food, transport, or vouchers or cash to assist with these expenses. Support to community members also includes the provision of information, advice, training and counselling.

To apply for the grants you will need to fill out this  form with information about your community organisation, what activities you will undertake to support your community and how much money you require for these activities.

Applications for the MCOT Multicultural Community Organisation COVID-19 Grants are open now and will close on 30 July 2020.

If you have any questions, would like more information or support filling out the application form, please contact Nico van Leeuwen (Multicultural Community Development Manager) on 0436 360 818 or nico.vanleeuwen@mcot.org.au
