Last week, the Honourable Jacquie Petrusma MP, Minister for Disability Services and Community Development shared in Parliament her support and words of condolences for the victims and families affected by the recent attacks in Sri Lanka and California (see attached Parliamentary speech 2 May 2019).
On behalf of our members, we thank the Minister for her words of encouragement. Previously, the Minister had also shared her support for those affected by the Christchurch massacre.
The Multicultural Council of Tasmania (MCOT) is proud to be working closely with the Tasmanian Government and the Department of Communities, for the betterment of all Tasmanians, irrespective of cultural background.
We look forward to continued support from the Tasmanian Government as we work to ensure that Tasmania is rightfully recognised as a leader in diversity, inclusion and harmony.
