Yasir Qayyum – Treasurer

I am an experienced accounting and finance professional currently serving in the
Commercial & Contracts space at a Tasmanian Government Agency. With a background
spanning government finance, budgeting, contract management, taxation, and financial
reporting, I bring analytical capability and a good understanding of governance, compliance,
and risk management. My career has included roles at Tasmanian State government, local
government, and private accounting firms, giving me a well-rounded perspective on
financial stewardship and stakeholder engagement.
My qualifications include CPA Australia certification and a Master of Professional Accounting
degree. Known for my integrity, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, I am
committed to supporting organisations that create meaningful community impact. As
Treasurer, I aim to apply my technical expertise and practical experience to strengthen
