Yenifer Murdoch – Board Member

I am a proud Peruvian migrant who has called Australia home for 18 years, bringing warmth, resilience, and strong community spirit to everything I do. As a mum, small business owner, and active member of the Peruvian community, I value connection, support, and creating spaces where people feel seen and respected.

Co-founding Alpaquitay Tasmania in 2022 strengthened my passion for community-led initiatives and celebrating cultural diversity. I am also well connected with various Latin American groups in Hobart that are members of MCOT, giving me a broad understanding of community needs and shared goals. I hold an Advanced Diploma of Accounting (2011) and a Diploma of Nursing (2025), reflecting my commitment to practical skills and caring for others.

Although I do not have formal governance experience, I bring curiosity, a positive attitude, and a fast-learning mindset. If elected, I will contribute care, dedication, and a community-focused voice to the Board.
